EU-OPS 1 as well as FAA require that:

An operator shall ensure that all personnel assigned to, or directly involved in, ground and flight operations
are properly instructed, have demonstrated their abilities in their particular duties and
are aware of their responsibilities and the relationship of such duties to the operation as a whole.

Training sessions will lead you Dispatchers to the theory level of FAA and/or ICAO licensed Flight Dispatchers.

Training sessions will either be held at your location or in an adequate facility as required.

All our trainers are qualified and licenced dispatchers or pilots and have a proven record of experience.

Initial Training

This course is tailored for future Flight Operations Officer / Dispatcher working for a Business Aviation Company. 

The syllabus of this course follows ICAO recommendations for training future Flight Operations Officer / Dispatcher with no or a minimum of previous aviation experience. Some subjects have been shortened to focus on others considered more relevant for everyday business in aviation operations.

This course will allow the participant to directly contribute to the safety and reliability of flight operations, and make a positive contribution to the economy and efficiency of business aviation operations. The acquired skills will improve the applicants ability to analyze and evaluate operational problems, thereby improving their judgment and decision making skills.

 
The following points will be taught

  • Civil Air Law and Regulation (Country, EASA, JAA, ICAO)
  • Aviation Indoctrination
  • Aeroplane Performance
  • Navigation
  • Air Traffic Management (ATM)
  • Meteorology
  • Mass (Weight) and Balance Control
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Air
  • Flight Planning incl. extended Diversion Time (180 min max.) for non-certified ETOPS Aeroplanes
  • Flight Monitoring and Flight Watch
  • Communications, incl. Datalink (ACARS, AFIS, etc.)
  • Human Factors
  • Security (emergencies and abnormal situations)
  • Applied practical training

The course is independent regarding Flight Planning software. Training based on a specific Flight Planning Software can be arranged.

Class is not held during the weekends, unless tutoring is arranged with the instructor.

Costs

The fee for this course is, EUR 2'000.- per student, excluding VAT.

This includes 5 days of classroom training, Practical Examination and Training Books.

After we have received the application form, we'll send you a confirmation, which will also include the invoice for the applied course.
The final balance for the tuition is due at the latest 14 days prior to the start of the course.

Certificate

All students that have attended the course will be issued with a certificate that documents their successful completion of each individual topic with reference to how many classroom hours were completed.

Training Materials

The training materials and books, which are made available to our participants during the course, are included in the tuition fee.
Materials used during the course stay with the students as reference documents for them to take home or keep at work.

For practical training and exercises, a laptop should be taken along.

Course preparation

Each participant will have to prepare the following before course start:

  • Personal Introduction
  • Presentation of a Company Dispatcher’s Workflow
  • Presentation of given Dispatcher Topic (will be communicated at least 2 week in advance of the course start by the instructor)
